Women's Health

Finally, a GP who takes you seriously.

A women-led practice with deep expertise across the full span of women's health — from adolescent care through to perimenopause and beyond.

If you have ever had a symptom dismissed, a concern minimised, or a hormonal issue handed back to you with "just try and relax," you are not imagining it — and you are not alone. MyFamilyGP is a women-led practice, and that shapes how we approach women's health in a specific and practical way: we start from the assumption that what you are experiencing is real and worth investigating properly.

Dr Orit Laskov and Dr Anastacia Tomson together bring broad and deep expertise across the full span of women's health, from adolescent care through to perimenopause and beyond. And they are supported by two additional doctors who share the same philosophy.

Note: any blood tests, swabs or pathology arising from women's health consultations are processed by an external pathology provider and billed by them separately.

What we cover.

What you leave with.

We do not believe in sending patients away with a vague "let's keep an eye on it." You will leave with a clear explanation of what we found or suspect, a plan that is specific to your situation, and an honest conversation about what the options are and what the evidence says about each of them.

Frequently asked questions.

Do I need a referral for a pap smear at MyFamilyGP?

No referral needed. Book a standard appointment and let us know you would like a cervical smear. We will do it in the same consultation where possible.

I think I might be in perimenopause. What should I do?

Book a consultation and tell us what you have been experiencing. Perimenopause is often under-diagnosed because the symptoms vary so widely. We will take a full history, arrange any relevant blood tests, and have an honest conversation about your options.

Can you help me with my contraception if I am not sure what to use?

Absolutely. We will talk through your options, your lifestyle, your priorities, and any concerns you have — and help you find something that actually works for you, not just the most commonly prescribed option.
