Cash Practice Notice.

Important information for all patients about how billing works at MyFamilyGP.

MyFamilyGP operates as a cash practice. This means we do not bill medical aids directly. Payment is required at the time of your consultation, and we provide you with a fully coded tax invoice that you can submit to your medical aid for reimbursement.

What this means for you.

Why a cash practice.

Cash practice gives us the freedom to spend the time our patients actually need with us, instead of working to medical aid contract rates that incentivise short appointments. It also means our consultation fees stay transparent and predictable — what we quote is what you pay.

Payment methods.

We accept debit and credit card payments, EFT, and cash. For virtual consultations, a secure payment link can be provided.
